A week I hope I'll never remember

Heads down: I lost my confidence, my self-esteem, my hope, my dreams. I am losing myself.

This week was the worst week i ever had in my entire life. I do not want to elaborate more on the pain. Thus, i'll keep this post short.

I collected my Biore Hamper on Monday at Hotel Inn Atrium. So many yummy goodies! =)

What i wore this week to run my errands:

  •  Cowling Shoulder Top in Navy - MDS Collections
  • White Skirt - Roxy

  • Sugar Baby Lace Top - Victoria's Secret
Heart the lace on my shoulder and at the bodice! I love it though it's still too big on me, should have bought XS.

  • Black Shorts - Random Shop @ Bugis Village

And the usual (pictures credit to respective blogshops):

Catwalkclose - Floral Bustier Chiffon Dress & Drapey Chiffon Cardigan (Coral Pink)
Dress: The top portion is thin but the chiffon is really good. Ptp was okay- no armpit fats but seems like it's flattening my boobs. As usual, Zip is not smooth but no major problem.
Cardigan: Lovely Colour! Chiffon used is thick unlike those used in dresses/tops. Though thick, it isnt rough on the skin. Got so much compliments from my colleagues & family when i wore it out. Totally worth it!

Victoria's Secret - Various Undergarments
Spent USD123.99 on some essentials. Why must the shipping charges be so expensive?

I hope the pain in my heart will come to an end. I wish i can have my back rectified. I wish we have our dreams come true. Sigh....

So this is what had happened

Heads up: I won a Biore Hamper from Cleo SMS Contest - Sept Issue. Super happy! I bought that magazine to read on the plane flight to Kota Kinabalu to attend Julie's wedding.  ♥

Monday: Mr BF & I went to catch Reign of Assassins @ JP. It was fantastic! So exciting and rather funny. I think Michelle Yeoh still looks pretty!

Movie Rating:

On that same day, i caught sight of a pretty Balenciaga inspired bag....

What I wore on Monday:

MDS - Polka Butterfly Top In Blue
Agneselle - ASOS Inspired Clutch in Baby Blue
LoveBonito - Flower Corsage in Pink
Esprit & Gmarket - Accessories

Tuesday: Mr Bf & I went to Chinatown to get some ingredients as he was going to cook dinner for my family. We had my favourite dish - Bitter Gourd with egg. And his favourite local (as in China) dish, Spicy & sour fish.

And i continue to think of that balenciaga inspired bag.....

What i wore that day:

CWC -  Floral Sweetheart Laced Back Top (red)
HH - Puff Sleeves Tulip Hem Cardigan (Dusty Pink)

Minibits & Gmarket - Accessories

Wed - Fri: I was battling with my temptation to get a S$139.90 Balenciaga inspired bag in a unique shade of Blue from Avant Garde. Was just about to pay when i have a really bad feeling. The blue is so lovely as shown below:

Although the workmanship and material used are good (made in Japan and according to the salesperson it's made from Giorgio Armani factory), i find that it looks plastic-y and identical to HVV Balenciaga inspired:

After much opinions from maggie and online shopping buddy, I dont think it's worth it to pay so much for a unique colour but still an inspired. BooHoo~

Lastly, Items i bought this week (pictures credit to respective blogshops):

Catwalkclose - Chiffon Corporate Blouse (Light Pink)
I love the material of this top. Comfy! Fit is great =) Collar can be fold down or if you prefer unfolding it. Functional buttons end around waist area. Very pretty top & suit high waist bottom best!

Thevelvetdolls - Chiffon Cocktail Dress in Mauve Purple (Instock) / Pearly Cream  (BO)
The mauve purple is such a unique colour - lilac/lavender. Ptp is a tad too loose on me, bottom is just nice. I love it so much i got myself a cream too! Suitable for work and dinners. But too casual for me for wedding dinner, maybe more for wedding lunch.

Agneselle - Waterfall Ruched Top in Pink & Coastal Blue and Embellished Tube Dress (Navy)
Wee! I love my AE items! The fit for the tops and dress are way too perfect! No armpit fats, not tummy showing, no looking fatty on it. =) Just Beautiful! Extremely satisfied with the material used too.

AcrossTheBloodyUniverse - Grecian Chiffon Top In White (BO)  SOLD
Thought this white top looks really classy. Hope it's not preggy and fit well.

MDS Collections - Cowling Shoulder Top in Black
I love this basic top so much i have it in all colours except for Champagne, waiting for it to be restocked. Match perfectly with anything! Go get it while stocks last! It has already been restocked thrice and still selling good.

Sigh, Maggie is in Korea now. Miss her so much! Cant wait to see her again with the loots she purchased for me. ♥

Anyway, have a heavenly weekend!

Feasting at StraitsKitchen

Heads Up: SP School of Business Deputy Director to me during Yr 2 SB Scholarship Interview, "You've to stretch yourself to know what you are capable of". It's time I make the impossible dreams possible.

Earlier this week, Mr Bf & I went to Grand Hyatt Hotel for our buffet Dinner. All thanx to my boss and Singapore Grand Prix.

Straitskitchen Buffet serves local delicacies such as Chicken Rice, Otah, Chili Crabs, Roti Prata, Briyani, Prawn Mee, Rojak, Satay, Carrot Cakes and so much more.

For 2 person, the voucher is worth about S$113. The food is pretty good but not worth the money to spend unless you are so rich you rather pay so much more for hawker food. There were so many varieties we were spoilt of choices.

I love their Otah, Roti Prata, Home made mango pudding and Portuguese egg tarts (no difference from KFC's egg tarts). There were also Ice Jelly, Ice Kachang, Ice Cream and so much more!

And my Mr Bf's favourite - FRUITS!

He preferred to eat fruits than to try the desserts! Monkey BF!

But still, nothing beats home cooked food with loved ones on Midweek!!

Close Up: *slurp*

What i got for myself this week (pictures credit to respective blogshops):

LoveBonito - Pleated Chiffon Dress (Grey) & Slingback Espadrilles (Dusty Pink)
Pleated Chiffon dress comes with thick inner lining at the bottom. Pleated details at hips seem to emphasize hips. Top chiffon is rather thin. Overall, i think this dress is so-so.

As for the wedges, i took my usual Euro Size 39 but it's quite loose that i've to include another insole. Seems like my Sz 39 wedges fits like a Sz 40. I could have taken Sz 38 to fit perfectly.
Anyone who is interested in the wedges can drop by to Far East Plaza (Ground Floor) to take a look, the last i saw there were brown and black.

TheTinselRack -  Dutti Layered Chiffon Top in Saccharine Pink (BO)
I love the sweet pink. Never had a layered chiffon top so why not get it?

My boss is away to Shanghai next week for Music Expo. Maggie will be going to Korea end of next week. Jen-Jen & brother in law are set to leave Taiwan for a short trip. Cousin Julia will be travelling to Beijing next month. Why, oh why are everyone going on a holiday except for me?! =(

Oh well, have a heavenly weekend ahead!

Parish Feast Day Celebration

Heads up:  If anyone is interested in having a personal fitness trainer, suffering from sports injuries or etc . Do check out www.aspiringgoals.com. Click here to see his flyer. I've never tried his services though.

Heavy Image Post

This weekend my parish celebrated the feast day of our patron saint - Saint Francis of Assisi.

Everyone was given a bookmark and blessed bun at the end of each mass.

Unlike the many years of food & fun fair celebration, this year celebration involved animals as Saint Francis loves all creation of God.

There were of course still food in the church canteen & fun activities going around in church today to raise funds, but it was on a smaller scale as compared to the previous years.

Manicure for you?

Make a Badge. I like!

Balloons, Balloons..everywhere!

Games for the kids.

I like the art of Henna Drawing. Too bad i was rather busy this morning so didnt get mine done.

Food selling in the church canteen.

Really congested inside:

So where were pets involved in the feast day? Of course in the Blessing of Pets! Even SPCA was involved for Saint Francis of Assisi Feast Day Celebration.

So there were dogs there this morning:

This is a really thin & flat dog. I believe it can run really fast!

And MORE Dogs! So there were alot of barking, smelling and kissing....

If you haven't notice, the dog on the left is the same flirty dog from the picture above.

And more affairs among the dogs.

And besides dogs, we have hamsters, rabbit, tortoise, parrots and my favourite pet during the celebration - Garfield Cat!

Super fat, cute & tame cat! I Like! ♥

The blessing of animals is a remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures. One of St Francis's most famous sermons is the one that he gave to a flock of birds. You can read more here. He also treated and addressed the animals as "sisters & brothers".

So if you type Saint Francis of Assisi in google/yahoo search engines, you will find many paintings/images of him with animals.

Saint Francis's feast day falls on Oct 4. You may read more about Saint Francis of Assisi here. And his  prayer here.

And what i've purchased this week (pictures credit to respective blogshops):

MDS Collecitons - Cowling Shoulder top in Pink, Grey and White & Polka Butterfly Top in Blue
I love cowling tops so much i have it in 4 colours. The material is good and it's cheap. Item is made in Korea. I cant resist tops with rosette, frills or ruffles on it. It makes a simple top really unique. Bought Grey & white from the retail store in Plaza Sing. I want it in all available colours!

Hollyhoque - Pleated Frills Sweethearts tube top (Yellow)  Lost Mail =(
I got myself this tube top to match it with my variety of cardigans. Impulsive purchase but basic just never die.

Catwalkclose - Blake's Romper (Navy)  SOLD
Not much liking for this romper so if you are interested to buy it from me, do drop me a comment with your email. Brand New. Selling it at S$26.50 mailed. Click here for my LJ feedback link.

Alrighty, Mr Bf and I will be having our dinner at Grand Hyatt Hotel on Monday, will review and update this space about it next week. Thanx to Singapore Grand Prix and my boss. (=

Have a heavenly weekend ahead!
