Attended Maybelline New York Event at Zouk on Friday night. It was stated that the first 600 arrivals will receive a goodie bag, so my friend & I headed down to Havelock road right after work and even ta bao Mos Burger.



The door opens at 7.30pm and we reached 5 mins before 7.00pm. We were shocked to see that there was no queue (unlike any LB's events which i've attended) & surprisingly we were the first 2 to arrive.



In fact the employees for the event have more people than those in queue by 7.30pm.

Anywayyy, we have free soya ice cream from Soyato.



Got to try all 3 flavours in mini scoop - Cookie Explosion, Salted Butterscotch & French Vanilla. Yummy! I like the salted butterscotch. And picture taking with the mascots.



So there was phototaking with the male models (like those in H&M), catwalk, short interview with the founder of Nylon Magazine and of course the only most fascinating part which (finally) caught the attention of both genders - Half naked muscular male models.

Hollyhoque - Metallic Plate Gold Necklace & Contrast Stitch Denim Shorts (Pumpkin/Blue) (Sz M)

Necklace: Worn the necklace to Maybelline Event on Friday Night. Loves how chic it looks when paired with the bustier dress (picture above). Length can be adjusted.

Shorts: Mr A & I love the contrast stitch shorts in Pumpkin! A new addition to my shorts collection & the colour is gorgeous & outstanding. Material wise is so-so. As it's raw trim edge, there are quite a number of loose threads after a day of wearing. My waist measurement is 27", hips is 17.5" and i took Sz M. Overall fit is snug and length is shorter than my usual.

Bought the deal at only S$100. Such a good buy! Hopefully it is as good as it claimed to be. Yet to receive item. Just checked that the deal is still on for another 10 hours. Hurry!

It's so hot & humid lately, couldn't help but to wear shorts & sleeveless top over the weekends.

I dont think this top is worth over S$20 but i contemplated on whether to get it over  a few days before the launch so i guess for me it's a basic needs; I like chiffon & off shoulder items. Top is sheer even for black as it's just a thin piece of chiffon. Not a must have item.

Check out my ring. This is the other ring which i bought from Gmarket which was imported from Korea. 

I even bought the earrings, but I still prefer the other colour which i showcased here & will definitely buy the earrings in the lighter shade too.

Lastly, my yummy crochet heels from Charles & Keith Signature Label. Only paid S$36.30 instead of S$95.90 after i used my membership card & S$50 voucher. Mad Chio!

Hollyhoque - Ruffles Spaghetti Top (Black) & Butterfly Aflutter Kimono Top (White)

Kimono Top: I have this top in White & Navy (from previous collection). Love the sleeves & lace at bust. There are pleats details at bodice too. The white piece looks really classy but the only issue is, I thought i saw the pleats looks slightly yellowish. =(

HerVelvetVase: Blossom Crochet Shorts (Puce) (Sz M) & Avette Corporate Dress (Crimson) (Sz S)

Omg! I LOVE all my HVV items! I think they have improved alot on their quality. The crochet shorts are mad chio & material is excellent! I have the original Zara lace shorts and the material is so-so. Thus, i definitely prefer HVV lace shorts! Thinking whether i shd get the grey piece. Hmm...

Invested in another awesome work number! Everything is so good about it! I am a happy girl!

MDS: Calling All Hearts Earstuds in Silver & Picture Perfect Floral Shorts (Sz M)

Tried the floral shorts in the store and I was able to fit into both Sz S & M. Sz S will fit snugly (not tight) at hips & thighs, whereas Sz M fits comfortably. Comes with belt as shown and side zip. No side pockets and material wise is still acceptable. Shorts is meant to be worn slightly high waisted.

So glad that i took Sz S based on the measurement instead of following Joyce's advise.
Sz S fits me to the T! Red Denim looks so nice! Material is thick & slightly stretchy. Comes with adjustable straps, pockets at side and a gold plated side zip. Happy!

My Gorgeous Hair - Salon Vim

So I left Salon Vim in glee with Gorgeous (temporary) curls, smooth & silky to the touch, and the pleasant smell that's left on my hair after an exciting experience with the professional team.


If you did not notice, i was in BonitoChico dress, HH cardigan & AE clutch. Lol!

I was aware of Salon Vim's presence ever since LB owners became their ambassadors, but that's not the main reason why i decided to get a hair cut there.

My lovely mum own a salon and i've always had my haircut/colouring at home for 20 over years. I have neither visited another salon nor have my own stylist (except for my mum). I don't trust another pair of hands messing around with my.... really straight (no rebonding required) & beautiful hair. *muhaha*

Then it strikes me real hard that my mum is getting older & she's tired after work. My previous employer has corporate discounts with various hair salons and one of which was Salon Vim. My hair by then was:

- really ridiculously long & straight (didnt have a hair cut for more than half a year then)
- Thick & flat like roti-prata
- unlike many, i dont have a proper fix hair parting. (madness!)
- I cut my own fringe (disastrous! Flat, messy & a little balding since i open my parting at the side for quite some time).


please just focus on the hair - Before my visit to Salon Vim

Ever heard that a nice hairdo does change how one looks? So i did some research on Salon Vim (there are so many reviews) and i came across a random lady who visited the salon & paid for the services done by Gary. She put a before & after pictures and OMG! It blew me away! From plain jane to gorgeous!

So in Feb-March I decided to fix an appointment and chose only Gary as i was really particular & don't trust anyone else. He solved my hair woes (as stated above) and most importantly, he gave me a more definite side parting. Point of entry till i left the salon was nothing but pleasant. That was my virgin visit to a Salon at age 24. I told myself that i'll definitely go back soon to dye & highlight my hair.

But Surprise surprise! I was the first lucky winner for their April facebook promotion - L'oreal Professionnel Series Nature Hair Treatment! So my 2nd visit was earlier than i thought.



The whole processes took me nearly 2 hours to complete. So there's the wash, blow dry, applying the green-y hair treatment on my hair, steaming for about 20 mins, wash, blow dry and lastly curling*. Gary and another of his staff explained that the special thing about this L'oreal Series was that it's all natural ingredients made from Fig tree.

I have dry ends and after the treatment it's just smoothness and the smell was heavenly. I really wish i dont have to wash my hair the day after and so on. *Gary wanted to have my hair curled which i resisted initially but he said "For a change in look", i decided to trust in his magic hands & vola!

Celebrated my sister's birthday mid this week. A beautiful mother of my 2 year old niece & wonderful sister who is a huge fan of Nana Reve De La.

Tell me how she is not a Super Duper Fan when she visited their shops so often per week even the sales ladies recognised her. She dropped by to every possible outlets which is easily accessible & convenient to her current location. Sales ladies will give her a call when new stocks arrive. And even my niece clothes are from Nana Reve De La.

I am so excited cos i won a free Loreal Professionnel Series Nature hair treatment from Salon Vim. Just had a hair cut by Gary a few months ago and i am glad to be going back to his salon again.

The Velvet dolls - Motel Rock Bustier Dress in Black & Electric Blue (Sz M) + BO Tropicano Floral Shorts (Sz M) SOLD

Motel Rock Bustier Dress: My piece in Electric Blue has a bigger cutting than the black piece. Thus, the electric blue is at least 1 inch loose overall. I prefer the black piece which fits me to T. Material is thick, no unsightly bulges (may due to the fact that it doesn't hug my figure too tightly since it's not spandex bodycon dress) & zip runs smoothly.  A beautiful number to own.

Lovebonito - Charlotte Corset in White (Sz M) & Shelley Dress

I bought items from this collection in impulse but i didnt regret it! The corset is lovely, cheery & fits well! Loves the exposed zip & boning. Have to join BO for this piece!

While for the dress, i was afraid i cant fit since ptp is 14". But it's stretchable at waist & ptp. Yes, you read it right. If you look at LB's picture, there is a horizontal "connector" at the back. The little piece of thing is an elastic band which is very stretchable. Thus, this flock can definitely fit a UK10 and no arm pit fats being squeezed. I feel so ready for a beach holiday!

OTD: Lilypirates Mad Hatter Dress in Black Florals

Mad love this LP floral dress that i have it in both Black & White Florals! Material is thick, structured & luxe! Prints are gorgeous although there are times it reminds me of curtains. Sz M fits me prefectly & i love the flare bottom. Length wise is alittle short (but not too exaggerating) but i am fine with it. It looks really good when match with a striking colour belt.



And check out my accessories! A beautiful ring from Korea which i bought from Gmarket! Mad Chio! Matched with my authentic Ted Baker Quilted Clutch in Pink which i bought from Chic Classics at a price lower than sold in retail.
