Congratulations to the newly wed - Kelvin & Julie Wong!

Mr Bf & I arrived at Kota Kinabalu at 8pm on 15 Sept 2010. And we had our dinner at Kampung Nelayan (Private Dining). The room can occupy 9 tables and 7 tables were taken by all my relatives & family.

The dining area is surrounded by water. Just imagine Singapore chinese garden & it felt like we were having dinner on a ship.

16 Sept (Day 1): Church Wedding. Location - Bride's home. Did i mention that just next door lives my uncle? So everyone is running about from one home to another. There's even a gate at the backyard so that it's connected. =)  I Love their houses!

The stairways were decorated by my cousins. I thought it looks like a stairway to Spa.

Our snacks for the guests. =)

Trinity is unhappy with her lilac dress. Thus she is hiding underneath the coffee table =(

But, dont you think it looks just fine on her? She's super cute!

Her brother, Scott is helping me to hold the wedding album.

The groom & brothers are here! Let the fun begins!

Cousin Ah Dai collecting Ang Bao after he opened the car door for the groom.

Jie Mei (including the guys) in Purple. All ready to have fun!

Game 1 - Guess which lips belong to the bride. Wrong choice will cost the groom 1 ang bao.

He gave away 2 ang bao before selecting the right choice.

Game 2 - Lady bra & undies.

Putting on does not end the game. They have to walk down the neighbourhood & asked for 9 signatures for approval on the groom's marriage. Signatures from Jie Mei will cost 1 ang bao each, brothers & everyone else present cant sign on behalf. Super Hilarious!

Game 3 - Pick the right mahjong pieces from a pile of ice water....

but using only your feet!

One of the brothers in action..

Game 4 - Jie Mei tied a bunch of fruits/Vege ( 2 grapes & Corn) on the groom's waist. Brothers have to  eat directly from it!! Touching it with hands are prohibited!

But one of the brothers pull the corn & some grapes away from the string. And started eating it.

And this guy ate the remaining grapes that were still hanging on the string.

Game 5 - Guess which palm belongs to the bride. Of course, he never guess it right. So he gave 2 ang bao  to skip the game.

Game 6 - There are 3 bottles with drinkable beverages & keys inside. Only 1 key will open the bride's room door. First bottle is FOC. Subsequent bottles will cost an ang bao.

Day 3 - 18 Sept. I was departing that afternoon & my aunt specially called up Kampung Nelayan and have the Senior Chef cooked some of the crabs she had bought that morning.

I was so excited i forgot to take a picture before i digged in. The crabs were huge & i ate so many of it. So here is a picture of the aftermath. =) Yummy Yummy, salted eggs with cheese crabs! Definitely A MUST TRY.

Going to Kota Kinabalu? Planning a Visit?

Tip 1: If you ever visit Sabah, Kota Kinabalu do remember to drop by to Kampung Nelayan for delicious seafood/ chinese food. The place is really huge with various concepts - private dining, ballrooms, BBQ Steamboat, Open concept with local entertainment etc. It's quite a famous restaurant in Kota Kinabalu. =)

Tip 2: KK is a hot & sunny place. Of course you must visit the beach, have fresh coconut water & many yummy local dishes at Tanjong Aru. Beautiful Place to catch the sunset!

Tip 3: KK is very near to Philippines, thus there is a filipino market where you can get philippines stuff like handicrafts, food & snacks. Interesting place to go!

Tip 4: KK is of course famous for its Mountain - Mount Kinabalu. If you have no stamina to climb to the  peak, at least go with the tour group and visit part of the mountain. There are lots of fruits & handicrafts to get.

Tip 5: And for the ladies, there are always shopping to do. My favourite local store is Padini Concept store. If you like KTV, you can find it in KK too! =)

Tip 6: There are many beautiful islands outside KK. Arrange for a boat and travel to beyond. Enjoy the clear blue water & awesome scenery! Have a wonderful trip to KK!

And what i bought this week (pictures credit to respective blogshops):

Hollyhoque - Asymmetrical Lace Chiffon Skirt (Sky Blue) SOLD & Puff Sleeves Tulip Hem Cardigan (Dusty Pink)
I love both items & the skirt is really beautiful! It's not sheer as the lining is rather thick. However, i am too tall for it. The skirt looks really short on 1.66m Me, otherwise i would have kept it. I heart all my cardigans from HH, it never disappoint with its design & material used. If i could, i would have bought all the colours  for this cardigan. But then, i must be rational & be wise when it comes to spending. =)

MDS Collections - Cowling Shoulders Top In Blue
The sleeves design is really unique. The top is just so chic & casual. Made in Korea & the material is really worth the price of S$21. Gonna get it in pink too when it's restock!

Gmarket - Chanel inspired Outerwear in Grey
It comes in black, beige & grey. The beige would have look more chanel-ish & corporate looking. Thought the grey looks great for more casual moments. Made & Imported from Korea. Best thing is it's only S$16.70 mailed. Great Deal! click here to view the cardigans & buy directly.

Edited: This is mad lovely! Material is good for Singapore humid weather & still keeping you warm in air condition rooms!

Because it's knitted, the material is quite rough and stings my skin but overall i am fine with it! I am a uk8 for top and it fits me just fine! Anyone bigger than Uk8 will find it too tight. Loving it!

Lovebonito - BO: Casual Boyfriend's Shirt (Orange) & Ruffled Work Blouse (Black)
I wonder how the actual colour of orange will look like in the bf shirt. I love the sheer chiffon sleeves for the work blouse in black. The contrast is better than the peach pink & grey. Hope to get it soon.

Sigh, I left my heart at Sabah and how i wish i am still at holiday. Hate coming back to Sunny SG and continue my life at work, shopping & eating..with no relatives here except for my family. ='(
