Chapter C stands for Chicadale

Advertisement & Review

Neat, systematic and user friendly. These are the words that are used to describe Chicadale's website.
It's basically an e-commerce website with no hassle to create and login to account, and invoices are auto-generated for the collections.

They regularly updates "Available items" for easy viewing and references. You may even track your parcel at "Parcel Tracking" regardless whether you've opted for normal or registered postage.
And (from my shopping experience) I am surprised that they update it almost immediately and promptly.

What really differentiate Chicadale from the many competitors are they make an effort to provide self collection and mass meet up, items are affordable and all prices include normal postage with COP (Certificate of Posting).

And like what all customers prefer, they have facebook and twitter which we can get immediate attention & reply. They also offer exclusive preview, discounts & updates to all mailing listees!

So what did i get from Chicadale?

If you were just like me, is hunting for a pencil or high waisted skirt for work and have never-ending reasons not to purchase from brick & mortar stores, or is bored with all the simple designs. This is what i have for YOU:

Chicadale -  High Waisted Peplum Skirt

The material is definitely comparable to what you can find outside. It is made of thick quality cotton (does not fur) & is non-stretchable. There's no back slit but it does not restrict movements, in fact i can even run in it.

The peplum design will not emphasize or makes your hips look wider. Instead, it adds a touch of uniqueness to a simple high waisted skirt. Did I mention that the 2 vertical lines (as shown on picture) will actually makes you look slimmer?

Featuring hidden zip at back (no smocked back! yeah!!) for easy wearing. The zip is not smooth but no major problem in zipping. Front and back design is the same except that the back does not have any vertical lines.

Length of 19" is just right for my height at 166cm and skirt falls 3" above my knee. The fit is good although there are still space at my waist which causes it to ride up when i walk too fast.

6 of my female colleagues (Jennifer, Grace, my online shopping buddy, Jean, Kriselle & Amber) and my eldest sister couldn't stop complimenting how nice it looks. Overall, I am deeply satisfied with the skirt. The whole look is neither too plain nor exaggerating.

So, why pay such high price when you can get a good quality corporate skirt from chicadale at only S$26? Last piece available in black (Sz M), Grey (Sz S - OOS). What are you waiting for?!!

If you want something casual and different, I would recommend Chicadale's Laced Throwover with Striped Halter Tunic . Good thing is, It's 2 pieces for the price of one! You may wear it like the model or be creative to mix & match!

If you are a beach-goer, you may throw on either the lace top or halter tunic over your bikini and treat it as a bikini top. If you are daring enough and wants to look sexier, you may just wear a tube to pair with the lace throwover.

As for me, i prefer to wear the lace throwover with a black bandage dress & a rock-chic killer heels or even an inner white piece with denim shorts/skirt for lazy days.

The fabric for the 2 tops are stretchy and comfortable. The throwover is meant to be slouchy and can be worn off-shoulders.  Featuring intricate lace details and it does not look aunty-ish. As for the halter tunic, there's a thin elastic band at back.

Lace throwover when laid flat:

Not forgetting the striped halter tunic, you can wear it on its own which is suitable for our crazy hot weather. Or just like my style, you may pair it with your favourite cardigan or jacket to give it a different look. Don't you think it looks just as good?

I love how versatile these tops are. Be creative and you will be able to pull off more styles! If you like it as much as I do, better hurry up as only one last piece is available!

Other items which are equally ♥ :

Tiered Denim Maxi Dress
I've seen floral maxi or even simple black & white ones. But Denim? This is definitely something different & it looks yummy!

Casual Bandage School Dress in Dark Grey, Sky Blue & Peach Pink.
So many colours to choose from! Dark Grey and Peach Pink are left with the last piece. If you are petite, you may wear it on its own. If not, pair it with leggings or treat it as a top. Best thing is, it's really affordable!

My overall shopping experience with Chicadale is really beyond satisfaction. They are efficient and prompt with reply and sending out parcel. It was smooth shopping with them.

The Great Chicadale Promotion is now on till end of June - Purchase any 3 items or more to receive an E-voucher that can be used for your next purchase!

Chicadale has just updated with a new collection which has a range of corporate and casual dresses! Check it out now before it's all gone! And not to forget to join their mailing list to enjoy privileges as stated before. =)

Thank you, Chicadale!

FOR REFERENCE: 166cm, Uk8/Uk10.
I agree that all that i've stated above are true and honest feedback & review.

3-Course Premium Heritage Dining and Museum Tour

HAPPY 2ND ANNIVERSARY, MR BF! ♥ ♥
WELCOME TO PLANET EARTH, BABY NICOLE! ♥ ♥

Baby Nicole Ng is born on 06 June 2010, 11.15AM. My first niece! =)

Mr Bf & I spent our 2nd Anniversary with Hui Ling & Her Bf for a tour at Chinese Heritage Museum in Chinatown.

Apparently, my best friend got a good deal from deal.com.sg which she only paid S$38 for 2 pairs of tickets for the tour and 4 sets of 3 main-course meals at Singapore Heritage Restaurant.

My BFF:

It's not an eye opening experience but the history was interesting. How the chinese suffered when they first arrived in Singapore, the growing number of prostitutes and brothels which led to rising figures of transmitted diseases, Pi Pa Ladies, gang & associations, etc.

Mr BF:

I even got the chance to scrutinise a real passport which belonged to a female china chinese. In her passport there was a Hong Kong immigration stamp that she entered/leave Hong Kong on 1946.

The whole tour was real short as the building is only 3 stories high. The food taste normal but they have interesting food. Each couple ordered 2 different sets to try and overall it's definitely worth S$19 per couple!

And Items I got this week (pictures credit to respective blogshops):

Bonitochico - Flower Brooch Toga Top in Pink
I love the excellent soft material, the design and the detachable oversize flower brooch! The top is even banded at hem so that you can adjust the length and neckline is rubberised, thus stretchable.  It makes me look preggy and shapeless since it's not smocked at back. However, it's worth the price especially when there's free normal postage!

Agneselle - Rosettle Lace Top in Pink, Top Shop Inspired Denim Dress in White SOLD, Clutch Bag in Baby Blue and Oscar Dress in Grapevine.
Their latest launch has cost me a total damage of $111.24 and more than 2 days of serious consideration. I've never ever pay so much for Backorders in my online shopping experiences. I hope my desire to receive the items will not die off as i wait for all my loots to arrive 1 month later.

Hollyhoque - Butterfly Flutter Lace Sleeves top in Black
Edited: The material for this black top is quite thick and stretchable. Non-sheer unlike what others had said about their navy ones. This top can be worn on both sides, depending on whether you prefer a lower back or lower front. Ooh, i love the flutter lace sleeves. Definitely covers up flabby arms and a pretty touch to a simple top.

Theclosetlover - Chantilly Light Pink Heels
5 - that's the number of pairs of shoes i have purchased this month. Decided on this pair as the pink is sweet & demure. It doesnt look too pink either.

Edited: The material of the shoes is soft and comfortable to walk in. Sizes fit true to C&K. The light pink is so lovely but overall i am not satisfied with the fact that the sole is made of wood and it's smooth! Got to spend a few more bucks to fix the sole. =(

Chicadale - Laced Throwover and Striped Halter Tunic and High Waisted Peplum skirt in Black.
I spent nearly 2 hours scrutinising and looking through the whole website, clicking on every link and picking my items. In the end, i shortlisted 2. As usual, can't wait for items to reach me! =)

Something is brewing and coming up real soon here at my blog!

Like how Sue C's it, Chapter C stands for Chicadale!  Coming up Next...
