Was feeling more than happy when I finally alighted from the cruise. Couldn't believe I survived a 3D2N Cruise Trip to Redang Island Resort, doing absolutely NOTHING but eating...
It was my first time cruising with Star Cruise Virgo. There was a promotion which Virgo cruises for free with at least 1 paying adult. We upgraded our room to Balcony Class & it only costs around S$1500 for 4 pax.
So thankful that we upgraded our rooms, we skipped the long queue to board & alight from the cruise!
Welcome to our room - 9566! Sounded very much like the taiwanese group name, 5566. An easier way for us to remember our room number.
And this is how the walkway looks like just outside the rooms. Heading out to get our first meal onboard - first round of dinner at 5-6pm.
I know things onboard are exorbitant but $9.55 for a glass of juice is ridiculous! It is worth 2 set of McDonald EVM! Thank goodness we have S$100 free credit to spend on food, otherwise who will actually spend so much on fruit juice?
Went for a stroll at the upper deck & check out Reflections, the condominium with an awesome sea view! Putting that on my motivation list..haha! But Mr A said that I will never get to afford it, oh well..don't stress the guy. I am fine with any houses but i want a happy home to return to at the end of the day!
I can't swim! Boohoo! Only get to gym onboard. Running on the track mill and looking out at the empty sea. Nothing else but water & more water.....
The golden horses at the stairway infront of the reception, which Daddy loves very much..cos it's gold in colour. And the statues which Mummy asked who they are. Ermmm???
2nd round of dinner at 8pm before catching a musical performance "Somewhere in Time". Featuring Canadian Idol Finalists, Martha Joy. She has such powerful, powerful voice! The sound systems onboard wasn't good enough to support it though or maybe it's the enclosed area at The Lido.
Day 2 feasting:
Buffet breakfast around 10am & 2 hours later we have lunch. :( Non-stop Eating!
Thank goodness we get to alight from the cruise at 2pm as we get to travel to Redang Island Resort! Time to burn the fats & energy!
Mini boats (not so mini actually) to transport us to the island.
Such beautiful resort with clear blue water! But it was scorching hot & the sunlight hurts my eyes. I was ill prepared for my trip to Redang. :(
It's a resort with really beautiful beach, you may wish to check out Redang Resort for your next summer getaway!
Spot Star Cruise Virgo! So tiny from far! :)
The awesome dancers from Somewhere in Time! Bravo, Bravo! And we were all hiding away from the sun, enjoying FOOD (again!!) under the hut.
Returned to the ship, rested awhile at the balcony, snacking away... :(
And followed by DINNER! :( Just can't stop eating! Then we headed down to The LIDO for a magic show - MIRAGE by Europe's top illusionist, Vincent Vignaud.
The LIDO was fully packed on 2nd night. In fact, there are still alot of people standing behind us at the upper deck. The upper deck is for Balcony & Suite Class passengers. Can't even moved my rotating chair with everyone behind us.
There was a topless show that night, Nikita which passengers have to pay a small fee to watch. I thought it was rather embarrassing to announce it when there are still kids around.
Overjoyed when Day 3 finally arrived! 2 rounds of breakfast! But by then, i have decided to stop eating.
Was feeling more than happy when I finally alighted from the cruise. Couldn't believe I survived a 3D2N Cruise Trip to Redung Resort Island, doing absolutely NOTHING but eating...
Resort pictures credit to my lovely sister, Magdalene Chia. Thank you for giving us a chance to experience holiday on Star Cruise Virgo. Thank You, Lord for giving you the ability to give us this chance. God Bless You!
